Uncommon Coffee Co. in Essex Junction, Vermont is the most unique coffeehouse I’ve visited.

Unlike most coffee shops, Uncommon is spacious and offers tons of seating. It feels more like a vintage library than a cold, uncomfortable coffee stop. Half of the space is lined with semi-private booths and traditional diner seating while the other half is filled with vintage couches and armchairs, so you can choose your own adventure.

If you go hungry, I highly recommend one of their breakfast sandwiches, which are made with cheddar-herb butter on a homemade English muffin.
